ETS Announce 50% Discount on GRE Exam Between August and September

As mentioned in a previous news article from us the GRE is set to change as of the 1st August 2011. The GRE revised General Test is set to replace the current GRE General Test and as a special promotion ETS are offering a 50% discount for those who take the new test between August 1 and September 30 2011.


Number of students taking the GRE is up 9 percent

Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions reports that the registration for the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is up 9% from last year, 675,000 people registered for the test in 2009.


The New GRE Test – Launching in 2011

ETS, the creator of the GRE Test, will launch the new GRE Test in 2011. The changes are aimed to improve the test for both test takers and schools. There are key changes being made to the content, test design and format, and scoring so it is important for those looking to take the GRE test in the near future to be aware of these changes.


ETS Plan to Launch New GRE Test

The Educational Testing Service (ETS) plan to launch a new version of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) in August or September 2011. A new version of the test was due in 2007, but shortly before it was planned to launch ETS was forced to abandon this plan. They have now confirmed that they are 100 percent confident that this new test will be offered in 2011.


Only a few US Business Schools plan to accept the GRE

There has been much discussion over the past few months about whether more business schools will begin accepting the GRE (Graduate Record Examination) as well as the GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) as part of their admission policy. Business schools such as Harvard and Wharton have recently begun accepting the GRE, so it has been speculated that other schools may also adopt this. However a recent Kaplan survey has revealed that many schools do not have plans to follow suit.


Harvard Business School to accept the GRE

Harvard Business School have announced that they will now accept the GRE for admissions into all of its business programs. Many business schools are now accepting the GRE as well as the GMAT; ETS have reported that the total number of schools accepting GRE has exceeded 220 MBA Programs, including five of the top 10 MBA programs.
