Ashley Parker
GMAT, UKCAT, BMAT

Ashley joined Kaplan in 2008, and teaches classroom courses and tutors students on Kaplan’s GMAT, UKCAT and BMAT courses. He divides his working life between teaching part-time as a lead teacher for Kaplan and studying for a graduate-entry degree in Medicine at St. George’s, University of London.
Prior to teaching for Kaplan, Ashley’s career started out in Chemistry; a degree from Oxford and a PhD from Bristol led him to work for three years as a medicinal chemist in the pharmaceutical industry. His own professional goals put scoring highly on competitive standardised tests squarely in view when he planned a new career direction in Medicine. He is due to qualify as a doctor in 2011.
Outside of the classroom, an unusual amount of Ashley’s time is spent standing upside-down, thanks to his long-term interest in the Brazilian martial art, capoeira.
