BMAT Live Online Course
Can’t attend a BMAT Classroom Course? Don’t worry!You can now prepare for the BMAT in the comfort of your own home.
Kaplan's BMAT Live Online course provides you with the opportunity to join a Kaplan course and take advantage of our comprehensive BMAT preparation materials from anywhere. Location is not an issue.
All you need, to join a Live Online course is a computer with internet access and a headset or computer speakers. We'll send you your course materials, so all you'll need to do is join the 'virtual classroom' at the designated times, where you'll meet your teacher and other classmates.
Comprehensive Interactive BMAT Preparation
The Live Online Course uses the same course materials and covers the same content as our BMAT Classroom course. It is a great option for students who are not based in the UK, or are unable to travel to one of our national courses.
Our teachers are specifically trained to lead courses using the Live Online software, so they’ll be able to guide you through the BMAT materials, answering any questions that you have and making sure that by the end of the course, you are fully prepared and ready to tackle the BMAT!
Please note you need to register for a Live Online course a minimum of 1 week before the start date to ensure course materials reach you in time. For deliveries outside the UK, an additional shipping fee will be charged.

Prepare for the BMAT with an expert Kaplan instructor in our state-of-the-art virtual classroom. You will cover all of the same content and use the same materials as students on our in-person courses.
As with our Classroom Courses, our Live Online course runs over 2 days. The Live online sessions run at the following times:

Please note that prior to joining the first online session, students should complete Practice Test 1, which will be sent to students along with their course materials.
Using Adobe Acrobat Connect software, the Live Online BMAT course is truly interactive. The key features of the Live Online software are:
- A camera: so that you can see your teacher
- Group chat: so that you can ask questions and interact with the teacher and other members of the class
- Whiteboard: so that you can see diagrams and illustrations that your teacher writes to help with explanations
- On-screen course material: so that you can follow along at home, making notes in your workbook
- Demonstration of the Adobe software used for the BMAT Live Online Course.
Shortly before the Live Online Course, we will email students their username and password to join the session. Students then login at the designated time, and join the sessions. All the software is online, which means you don’t need to download anything extra, and all you will need is your course materials, and either speakers for your computer, or a computer headset.

The BMAT is a 2 hour pen and paper test divided into three sections.
- Aptitude and Skills (60 minutes multiple-choice or short answer questions)
- Scientific Knowledge & Applications (30 min)

- Scientific Knowledge and Applications – Points 1-9
- Writing – Points 0-15
